The Circular Economy Accelerator Program provides hands-on support to businesses on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast who seek to adopt circular economy principles, reduce waste and emissions, increase revenue, and develop innovative practices. This program – the first of its kind in Canada – will position your business as a leader in the circular economy, attracting talent and investment, increasing revenue, and paving the way to a prosperous, sustainable, and resilient future for your community.

AS AN ACCELERATOR PARTICIPANT, YOU WILL:

  • Complete an on-site assessment with a circular advisor to identify circular solutions for your operations;

  • Receive a report outlining key opportunities to reduce waste, energy use, and emissions;

  • Incorporate leading sustainability practices; and 

  • Identify cost savings and value-add opportunities.

HOW IT WORKS

COST TO PARTICIPATE

Program participation costs $500. Participation is free for Indigenous-owned businesses.

ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES

Businesses must be located on Vancouver Island or the Sunshine Coast.

Target Industries:

Construction, manufacturing, hospitality, forestry, retail, food & beverage, agriculture, aquaculture, and mining.*

*Businesses outside of these industries are eligible to participate.

Businesses will be accepted into the program on a rolling basis until all spots are allocated. Once the intake form is submitted, we will be in touch to set up a site visit at a time of year suitable for the business.
